Doki Doki Literature Club – Why so Popular?

Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover

Recently I took the time to play Doki Doki Literature Club. I had been hearing mad hype about the game, even from people I know in real life who have zero interest in a dating sim/visual novel. After completing all routes of the game, I can’t help but feel a little let down. Still, the game is worth checking out and the developer obviously put a lot of love into this one so let’s dive in and take a closer look. Outlast – A Found Footage Game you Can Play

It’s no Secret that I Love Horror Games

Given the time of year, I thought this was the perfect time to talk about Outlast. This game from Red Barrels takes the premise of a found footage horror film and puts you in the role of the camera man. You play as a reporter looking into a tip about an insane asylum. Pretty cliché in that department, but the game is a great time. Continue reading “Outlast – A Found Footage Game you Can Play”

The Sexy Brutale – Not What it Sounds Like

A Truly Unique Experience

I know for video games this is a statement you hear far too often, but in the case of The Sexy Brutale this is 100% true. Thrown head-first into an intriguing mystery that takes place in a mansion that has been converted into a casino for a party. Not just any party, the party. Normally things go off with out a hitch, but this year the staff has murderous intent. You’ll have to save the guests by manipulating time in order to solve the mystery behind these murders, and it isn’t what you may be expecting. White Day: A Labyrinth Named School – Why I’m Excited for the PS4 & PC Release on August 22nd

I’m Super Excited!!!!!!

Seriously, I love horror games. Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Outlast, and even more Obscure (hehe, see what I did there?) titles like Scratches (sadly off the market T.T such a good game). Naturally, I spent hours scouring the internet to find even more titles as my well of excellent horror titles began to dry up. Rewind to 4-5 years ago, I discovered a little known horror title White Day: A Labyrinth Named School. Thoughts On Heroic Mode Tavern Brawl – Hearthstone’s Newest Mode

In Theory, Heroic Tavern Brawls Sound Fun

In practice however, this was the single worst experience I have ever had with Hearthstone. I’m getting ahead of myself though, let me explain what Heroic Tavern Brawl is for those who don’t already know. This new mode is a pay to play mode that replaces the normal free to play Tavern Brawl, the biggest difference outside of this is that the new mode offers great rewards for winning (much like in arena mode, but better payouts the farther up you go) as opposed to the single standard pack for winning that the standard Brawls net you. The mode will cost you 1,000 in game currency or $10 bucks of real cash for 1 chance to play. Continue reading “Thoughts On Heroic Mode Tavern Brawl – Hearthstone’s Newest Mode”

Shadowverse Review – Better Than Hearthstone?!?

ogp

Shadowverse Has Quickly Become One of My Favorite CCG’s

This is no small feat considering I absolutely love Hearthstone, I even wrote a whole article about that fact. Having had it for about two weeks now, I’ve been able to explore the game pretty well and have come to the conclusion that for many people Shadowverse will certainly trump Hearthstone. Terraria Killer: A Starbound Review

I’m Never Playing Terraria Again

I knew in the first hour of playing Starbound that this would be the case. Even after sinking over 40 hours into the game, I haven’t gotten bored of it once. There’s quite a lot to do from following the main story, completing side quests, or just goofing around from planet to planet. No matter what I spent my time doing, I had a great time doing it. Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes Review

Overview

This is video game review 3

Time ticks by, “Which wire do I cut?” I ask my partner, who is safely in the other room. One false move and it’s game over. You could cut the tension with the wire cutters I seem to have forgotten (seriously, for a game about defusing bombs you can do a pretty great job with no tools). I get the word, “cut the 4th wire!” He yells. I can tell he is slightly unsure. I cut it, only seconds left on the timer… Just in time, that was close.
