When it comes to movie musicals, nothing is more magical than a duet; the combination of two voices in perfect harmony are enough to resonate with audiences and make the experience special. As someone who likes to sing karaoke as much as he can, I have heard any a sweet, charming duet (and even dabbled with it). It gave me inspiration to come up with ten of my favorite duets the silver screen has to offer. While a lot of them are amazing in their own way, I could only pick ten that stick with me the most; the ones that would (and should) be sung for karaoke night. So grab a partner and get ready to do these ten lovely movie duets that you may want to consider. These are not the best duets per se, but these are what I prefer the most. If there is one you feel I missed, feel free to tell me what your favorites are.
This is it! The moment you have finally been waiting for! Here are my Top 10 movies of 2019! I apologize if it took me so long to do. I not only had a lot on my plate in terms of work and raising a baby, but I felt the need to catch up on a few movies (and for good reason). Now the wait is finally over, let us begin! Just a side note! These are my personal picks for what I thought to be the best films that came out last year, so if you feel like something is missing, then it probably did not make the cut, as there were much better movies in my opinion. Without further ado, let’s get started!
We are finally in the year: 2020, which not only means a new decade, but also another year of new upcoming films to look forward to. As always, these are the films I am personally looking forward to in the new year, so the films I am anticipating may be different than anyone else’s. Without further ado, here are the ten films I am looking forward to in 2020!
May is only a day away, which means that the month of summer movies is nigh. While ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is busy making bank and breaking all kinds of records (and what a movie that was), it is now time to give attention to all the movies set to keep me busy during the summer months. Will I see them all? Probably not. But these are the Top Ten movies I am keeping on my radar prior to release!
If you were to ask me who my favorite film director was, I would have to be honest and tell you without a doubt: Tim Burton! There is something about his style that I truly appreciate when it comes to his films; whether it would be his off-the-wall premises, eccentric characters, whimsical scores, or gothic fairy-tale designs, Burton is a filmmaker unlike any other, and I am here to talk about my ten favorite films he has done in honor of the release of Burton’s live-action retelling of ‘Dumbo’!
Now for the fun part! As much as I love talking about the “Best in Film”, I especially love to share my thoughts on the stinkers of the year. However, sadly, due to either lack of interest or finances, I try to avoid seeing what I believe to be clunkers as much as I can, unless they interest me or are on my anticipated lists, which is why I never seem to call these the “Worst in Film”, but instead my “Bottom Picks”. Honestly, I have barely seen any terrible movies this past year, which makes listing them that much harder. Not all the films that are on this list are “terrible” or the “worst”, but just either mediocre, disappointing, or at the bottom of my movies list in the past year. So buckle up and take a trip down the bottom of the well where you will find my lowest films of 2018!
We are already in the second month of 2019, and awards season is already reaching its peak when The Oscars hit on the 26th, which means that my ‘Top Ten Movies’ list is a bit overdue. A lot has happened that has caused me to lose track of reviews last year, so it took me a long time to keep making them. On the bright side, 2018 had a lot of great movies, so much so that it was really hard to write a Top Ten list without making a few sacrifices. I will still talk about them in my honorable mentions, but these are the films that stuck out to me the most either by quality, or just how I felt about them. Without further ado, here are my ‘Top Ten Movies of 2018’
