After the hectic year that was 2020, we never thought that we would ever be going to the movies again. Yet, as of late, movie theaters (and businesses) have slowly, yet surely been in the process of reopening for the public anxious to go out and have a good time. Though it may still be a while before we reach normalcy, there are still some more movies to look forward to in the months to follow. As we get closer to the summer months, the choices of movies are still limited. Yet here are the movies I am most looking forward to as we reach the start of May all the way through August.
Villains are supposed to be the most despicable, conniving characters on the screen. So why do we enjoy them? You could say they have a charm to them, or they can be just darn entertaining. However, I believe a villain song could be a major factor in why we love them so much. The villain song can explain their intentions, provide depth as to why they are who they are, and are just plain badass all around. These are the songs that I have found the most entertaining and what make it hard to hate them!
After six seasons, ‘BoJack Horseman’ has finally come to an end, which is sad, being that there may be no new seasons to look forward to in the following years. If you knew me, ‘BoJack Horseman’ is my favorite show; not only is it filled to the brim with hilarious sight gags involving animals, but it is also surprisingly dark, depressing, and closer to reality than any animated sitcom could possibly dare tread. If you have never seen ‘BoJack Horseman’, the show concerns a former TV sitcom star known as BoJack Horseman (Voice of Will Arnett), a horse trying to find his purpose over twenty years later, only to spiral into self-destructive behavior. His friends include his feline agent/ex-girlfriend, Princess Carolyn (Voice of Amy Sedaris), who is always eager to find celebrities perfect roles, human Diane Nguyen (Voice of Alison Brie), who he hires to be a ghostwriter for his autobiography, his human roommate, Todd Chavez (Voice of Aaron Paul), who comes up with crazy ideas, and his TV rival, Mr. Peanutbutter (Voice of Paul F. Tompkins), a happy-go-lucky golden retriever who is always willing to help. At first glance, ‘BoJack Horseman’ may not sound like anything too special, but these episodes are what showcase its best form, and I am going to count ten of my favorites. Warning – This list may contain spoilers for the entire series as some episodes may contain plot points, so you have been warned
Just when you thought that I was done talking about the movies of 2019, with it now February, it turns out that I have some garbage to dig up. The Best of 2019 was only the beginning, now it is time to bring up the stinkers, the disappointments, sh*tstorms, and buzzkills, which I am more than ready to get off my chest once and for all.
It is officially that time of year again where I count down the movies I am looking forward to in the later year. Let me tell you, there are a lot of movies for me to get excited for. Sadly, only ten could make the list! Without further ado, here are the ten movies I am looking forward to come 2019!
May is around the corner, which – in Hollywood terms – means that summer is about to start. As always, there are movies to look forward to, whether they are potential blockbusters, trips of nostalgia, or an Indie flick destined to become a critical darling (and a possible awards contender), I am here once again to give you a more in-depth look at my top 10 most anticipated films scheduled to release in the summer of 2018! As always, on with the countdown!
Out of all the movies I have seen in the past year, there have been some bad ones to balance the good. Here are ten of them.
The time has finally come! It took me a while to get to due to getting the chance to see ‘Downsizing’, ‘Pitch Perfect 3’, ‘Bright’, and ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’. Now, I can say that I am finally doing my favorite write-up of the year: Ranking my Top 10 films that made an impact on my movie-going experience! (Stay tuned for my 10 Worst films of the year!) Unlike previous years, these films are not specifically ranked by grade as much as to how I loved them. (even though, it is a major factor in my choices) With all that being said; on with the countdown!
Exactly What it Says on the Tin
I actually remembered to do one of these this year! Here are the top ten shows I watched in 2017. The only rules are that I can only mention shows I finished for the first time during 2017 and they have to be complete. No ongoing stuff (sorry Magus Bride) I watched a lot of shows (78~) this year so it was a tough choice for some of these. Let’s get this party started with the number ten spot!
