‘Avengers: Endgame’ Film Review (Spoiler-Filled)

Grade: A-

Now that ‘Avengers: Endgame’ has had a good, albeit successful run in theaters for a few weeks, and the spoiler ban has been lifted, I have felt the need to go into detail about ‘Avengers: Endgame’. Being that this review is filled with spoilers, those who still have yet to see this epic conclusion to Marvel’s ‘Infinity Saga’ should turn back and come here afterward; otherwise, you can keep going.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ Film Review (Spoiler-Free)

Grade: A-

Don Cheadle, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Bradley Cooper, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Danai Gurira, and Karen Gillan in Avengers: Endgame (2019)

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come to this; eleven years and twenty-one films have led to a conclusion of epic proportions! Though, it takes a while to get to where it needs to be, due to its three-hour runtime. As much as I would love to talk about ‘Avengers: Endgame’, I feel by doing so would ruin a movie this huge and massive, it has to be seen to be believed. Nothing can prepare you for what is to follow, and how it all ends.

‘Deadpool 2’ Film Review

Grade: A

Brad Pitt, Josh Brolin, Ryan Reynolds, Terry Crews, Bill Skarsgård, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin, Lewis Tan, Stefan Kapicic, Rob Delaney, Shioli Kutsuna, Karan Soni, Julian Dennison, Zazie Beetz, and Brianna Hildebrand in Deadpool 2 (2018)

I have never had so much fun watching ‘Deadpool 2’. What the first feature lacked, David Leitch’s sequel gains — in terms of fast-paced, non-stop action, and jokes that actually hit me. In case you did not know already, I thought the first ‘Deadpool’ was okay. I was expecting it to be a great superhero movie, but its uneven structure really bothered me; of course, that may have been its intention, and it actually proved to be more enjoyable on its second viewing. I just really loved ‘Deadpool 2’. Not a dull moment flew past me as I sat through explosions, profanity, gore, and fourth-wall breaks. The character of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) is a gift from Marvel heaven, though he has yet to make his appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (The Disney/Fox merger happened in 2017). We might as well enjoy these cinematic offerings while they are hot, naughty, and R-rated.

‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Film Review

Grade: B-

Don Cheadle, Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Paul Bettany, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Elizabeth Olsen, Chris Pratt, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana, Benedict Wong, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Dave Bautista, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chadwick Boseman, Sebastian Stan, Danai Gurira, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Letitia Wright, and Tom Holland in Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

The time has come! Ten years of superhero movies, and it has officially come to this! While ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ is no doubt making box-office records, I am thinking of ways to describe my experience without giving much away. In case you were worried, I will not dive into spoilers (Maybe once the hype dies down, I will issue a spoiler-filled review). Instead, you will be treated to a premise and mainly thoughts.
