Average Introduction Time!

Hey guys! AveragePal Ian here! I like to talk about movies, television, and trends in Hollywood. When it comes to the articles I want to write, certain goals of mine include providing analysis of film and elaborating on various aspects of the film beyond just story. With some luck (and praying to the Eldritch Gods for a good schedule), I hope to enrich you with worthwhile opinions on the internet. Let me know what kinds of things you would be interested in me discussing in future articles. Be sure to check out Tone Death 2: The Four Chordsmen- summer of [insert next year]

You can see all the latest from Ian here but be sure to head on over to his Twitter @AveragePalTime to see more of what he’s up to! We are happy to have Ian aboard and I hope you’ll look forward to his content.

Jacob Bramlett’s Awesome Intro!

Hello, everyone! My name is Jacob Bramlett (a.k.a ‘Movie Critic’) and Jon has asked me to be a part of the team. I am really excited to share movie (and sometimes play) reviews, and top tens! If you have any suggestions for top tens that I could do, as long as they have to do with television or movies, send me a comment and I will take it as a suggestion. My goal in life is to be a professional film critic, and I am still perfecting my craft. I feel that film criticism brings out my creativity and lets those juices of said creativity flow. I see a lot of movies, so expect a lot of reviews to be delivered for your reading pleasure. I hope you enjoy what you see and I will be back to deliver a fresh review (or top ten) each time.

Introducing Patrick Mars

Salutations everyone, my name is Patrick; I am a chess, anime, and video game nerd. I am the type of guy you find discussing Dungeons and Dragons characters in the pc game aisle of Walmart, I assure you. I am also a literature enthusiast, and always enjoy a well written story. Because of this, the anime that I find myself most drawn to are the types of anime that aren’t afraid to dabble in symbolism and deeper meanings. I enjoy well developed characters more than plot, but well developed characters and a good plot often walk hand in hand. For example, I greatly enjoy shows such as Gurren Lagann, Full Metal Alchemist, and Your Lie in April.

As far as video games are concerned, I am attracted to games that involve a certain level of individual skill while still retaining a large amount of strategy. Such games include Rocket League, Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Rome: Total War (The original, not the 2nd one). In regards to chess, I have been an enthusiast for around 3 years, and while my strategy may not be that of top-tier players, I feel I hold my own in a good match. Possible content I plan on writing would be reviews for anime, in-depth analysis of anime, as well as other works of art (possibly music and literature if there is enough support for it), reviews for games, gaming related articles (possibly news based), chess tutorials for beginners, and possibly analyses of high level chess games in tournament settings. I look forward to creating great content for readers to enjoy, discuss, and share!

Hello, there!

My name is Meghan, I’m an art major and I have no idea what I’m doing with my life. But sometimes I make videos in my own creative way because that’s what I’m really passionate about. And sometimes those videos may end up here because Jon is nice enough to let me share them with you. My videos usually consist of me rambling about something I find interesting or humorous, but I also have a large cast of characters that show up in skits, and sometimes (though rarely) I actually go outside and film my adventures. So I hope you enjoy and any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Introducing Meeeeeeeeeeeee!

Hello Everybody!

Meeeeeeeeeeeee, is Dana Scarr, the newest member of Jon’s review crew! Similarly to Jon, I’ll primarily be reviewing anime, games, western animation, and whatever else tickles my fancy. I have a love of crafts of all kinds and I’d love to share whatever I’m up to with you all. I also love animals of all sorts, which may or may not come up in some of my reviews, and I am currently a student working towards a bachelors degree in Zoology. If anyone’s got any questions for me, leave it in a comment below or send it through Jon (for now), and if it’s not too invasive I’ll do my best to answer. In the meantime, I’ll hopefully be able to share some differing, interesting, and maybe thought provoking opinions on my favorite (or least favorite if the case arises) media and more!

Dana Scarr signing off!
