Anime ABC’s S is for Silver Spoon

Finding One’s Self

Boogiepop Never Laughs – Better Than the 2000’s Version?

It’s Complicated…

Image result for boogiepop and othersWhen it comes to Boogiepop, my relationship with the franchise is a more complicated one. Very rarely do I have any real knowledge of the source material, and in turn, does that impact my watching. Further more, it is even more rare for me to have seen multiple adaptations of said work. This is the case with Boogiepop Never Laughs which has lead to an obvious question, so what is even worth engaging with here? It’s a Terrible Day for Rain – Exploring the Storyteller’s Kit

It’s Raining & I’m Sad

We’ve all watched a TV show, film, or anime where somebody dies and then, as if by magic, it begins to rain. It’s a tried and true cliché that can be utilized to brilliant effect, or come off as incredibly corny depending on the context. Join me as I explore three examples of rain scenes in anime. One superb, one interesting, and one just plain bad. The shows I’ll be using for my examples are:  Akame ga KillLove, Election and Chocolate, and finally, Fullmetal Alchemist:  Brotherhood.

Anime ABC’s O is for Ouran High School Host Club

Step Outside Your Comfort Zone

The original idea for this review was to discusses why you shouldn’t always judge a book, or in this case, anime by its cover and branch out into new territory if you are one of those folks who watches only one or two genres. Unfortunately, that version of the review came out poorly and fairly condescending so rather than make the entire review about that, it’ll just be a part of it with the main focuses being why Ouran High School Host Club is well worth your time. The 30 Day Anime Challenge Day 22 – Another Weird Question

My Favorite Armor, Weapon, or Equipment in Anime

30-day-anime-challengeAs per the norm, here’s the schedule. These weird questions always give me the most trouble. I mean, who sits and actively thinks about this stuff on the regular? I’m sure way more than I think but I certainly do not. For me, this question makes me immediately think of sentient things which could overlap with some of the other questions. Ug, I’m just over thinking it! Ok, eenie, meenie, miney, that one. Continue reading “The 30 Day Anime Challenge Day 22 – Another Weird Question”

Taking a Look at my Desktop Backgrounds

Doing Something a bit Different

Today I felt like talking about my desktop backgrounds and my thought process behind how and why I choose the ones I have. This article is a good way to get to know me some more and an opportunity for folks to share some cool images with each other. This isn’t really meant to be in-depth or anything, just for fun. I know this is something fairly atypical of me but I hope you’ll indulge me a bit and enjoy 🙂  Continue reading “Taking a Look at my Desktop Backgrounds”
