Jacob’s Top Ten Anticipated Movies of Summer 2019

May is only a day away, which means that the month of summer movies is nigh. While ‘Avengers: Endgame’ is busy making bank and breaking all kinds of records (and what a movie that was), it is now time to give attention to all the movies set to keep me busy during the summer months. Jacob’s Top 10 Tim Burton Films

If you were to ask me who my favorite film director was, I would have to be honest and tell you without a doubt: Tim Burton! There is something about his style that I truly appreciate when it comes to his films; whether it would be his off-the-wall premises,  eccentric characters, whimsical scores, or gothic fairy-tale designs, Burton is a filmmaker unlike any other, and I am here to talk about my ten favorite films he has done in honor of the release of Burton’s live-action retelling of ‘Dumbo’!

Jacob’s Bottom Ten Movies of 2018

Now for the fun part! As much as I love talking about the “Best in Film”, I especially love to share my thoughts on the stinkers of the year. However, sadly, due to either lack of interest or finances, I try to avoid seeing what I believe to be clunkers as much as I can, unless they interest me or are on my anticipated lists, which is why I never seem to call these the “Worst in Film”, but instead my “Bottom Picks”. Honestly, I have barely seen any terrible movies this past year, which makes listing them that much harder. Not all the films that are on this list are “terrible” or the “worst”, but just either mediocre, disappointing, or at the bottom of my movies list in the past year. So buckle up and take a trip down the bottom of the well where you will find my lowest films of 2018!

Jacob’s Top Ten Movies of 2018

We are already in the second month of 2019, and awards season is already reaching its peak when The Oscars hit on the 26th, which means that my ‘Top Ten Movies’ list is a bit overdue. A lot has happened that has caused me to lose track of reviews last year, so it took me a long time to keep making them. On the bright side, 2018 had a lot of great movies, so much so that it was really hard to write a Top Ten list without making a few sacrifices. I will still talk about them in my honorable mentions, but these are the films that stuck out to me the most either by quality, or just how I felt about them. Without further ado, here are my ‘Top Ten Movies of 2018’
