Out of all the movies I have seen in the past year, there have been some bad ones to balance the good. Here are ten of them.
The time has finally come! It took me a while to get to due to getting the chance to see ‘Downsizing’, ‘Pitch Perfect 3’, ‘Bright’, and ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’. Now, I can say that I am finally doing my favorite write-up of the year: Ranking my Top 10 films that made an impact on my movie-going experience! (Stay tuned for my 10 Worst films of the year!) Unlike previous years, these films are not specifically ranked by grade as much as to how I loved them. (even though, it is a major factor in my choices) With all that being said; on with the countdown!
This is the moment I have been waiting for! We are getting closer to the new year, which means I get to talk about (and share) the upcoming movies I am excited for in the new year! In honor of this week’s release of ‘The Dark Tower’, starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey; based on the popular book series by horror master Stephen King, as well as next month’s newest R-rated adaptation of ‘IT’ by King. I have decided to do my top 10 favorite Stephen King movies. Before I get started, the thing about Stephen King is that his work is so popular that it was a shame I couldn’t do a list on my favorite adaptations until now. Christmas is almost here, so you know what that means! It’s time to do another Top Ten list of the films I’m excited for in the coming year! 2016 has been an eventful year with both the bad, (‘XOXO‘, ‘Bad Santa 2’, ‘The Boy’), and the good. (‘Eye in the Sky’, ‘Zootopia’, ‘The BFG’, etc.) We are a month away from heading into the new year, and it seems as though Hollywood is dishing out more films for our entertainment. Science-Fiction is one of the most loved genres of the 80’s, and with the time I have tonight; I will give you my Top 10. Some of these movies you may wonder what happened to, (No spoilers) but it has been hard work to figure out the ones that stood out to me the most. I love 80’s movies, and have a fondness for science-fiction when it comes to that decade. Here they come now!
Pixar is the animation studio of great, beautiful, and inventive movies that feel dated, yet still stand the test of time with hits like ‘Toy Story’ all the way to the most recent sequel ‘Finding Dory’ with Ellen DeGeneres. Pixar will always be a pioneer of the best animation and it is my duty to give you my picks for the top ten Pixar films of all time.
For every musical to work, there has to be some opening number worth listening to. As a person that grew up loving musical movies, there was always something that kept me glued to the screen, and that is: The intro (or Opening Number). Is it catchy? Does it set up the story as well as the tone it’s presenting? Only my Top Ten can determine which musical intros left the biggest impact on my movie-going experiences.
