Sounds Good to Me

When 91 Days first aired in 2016, I was fairly confident that I would enjoy it. From the trailer it looked to be a serious drama set in prohibition era America. Seeing how I loved Baccano! I  was excited at the prospect of another great series utilizing this more unique setting. Additionally, this was an opportunity for Funimation to deliver a great dub as was done for Baccano! when that received one. It’s no Secret that I Enjoyed This Film

Kimi no Na wa, or Your Name, is a film that I’ve talked about once before on Jon Spencer Reviews. I did a quick reaction/reflection on the film immediately after having seen it in theaters when it came stateside. Needless to say, I had a wonderful experience. That being said, I saw the film subbed then and my writing on the experience was hardly an in-depth piece on my opinion of the film. Baccano! is all of this and more. Animated by Brain’s Base, Baccano! is a 13 episode anime (16 if you count the OVA’s included on the DVD’s) sporting a highly stylized presentation, unconventional narrative, and highly dynamic and engaging characters; Baccano! is an anime that any fan of the medium can’t afford to miss out on.
