Worthy of All Caps Even
The schedule, as per the usual, is provided if you’d like a quick reminder of what’s been done so far and what I still have yet to do in this challenge. Today I’ll be talking about the most epic scene in anime. It’s another one of those super subjective entries with way too many great choices. However, one particular scene sprang immediately to mind. Can you guess what it is?
I’ll give you a hint.
That’s right, we are looking at My Hero Academia today. Specifically the tournament arc in season two. I was tempted to use Gurren Lagann for today’s entry, because throwing literal galaxies around could be considered “epic” but I’m not super fond of that show. Instead, I wanted to use a more grounded example of something I think is pretty awesome.
I’m sure you’ve seen this scene plenty of times already, but here it is again.
Deku vs Todoroki is one of the high points of the second season in MHA. The reason I find this scene so great is for a couple of reasons. The first being that it is animated very well, which is perhaps the most obvious point. However, more important than that is how it culminates a lot of the show’s core ideas and themes into one fight. Deku manages to save Todoroki from himself by convincing him to fully accept who he is by doing things for himself as apposed to others.
Many of you know I enjoy these kinds of positive messages so perhaps this wasn’t surprising but that’s my pick for today’s entry. Day 26 is going to be a bit tricky now since I’m not allowing myself any repeats. Though, I think I have something else that’s pretty good in mind for that one 😉

Yesss..this was totally the scene i imagined as soon as i saw the title most epic scene ever..i like the way it wasnt just any fight but an internal battle of ideals and emotions. The origin of shoto.

That was a fantastic fight… But my top moment from that arc is still when Ochako came within a heartbeat of defeating Bakugo.
Most epic moment in all the anime I’ve watched? Man. That’s a hard one. I don’t know that this would be the most epic, but it would be on the shortlist of my final choices.

I almost picked a different Yuuki Yuna scene, but on reflection I’m saving it for day 26 I think. 🙂

Midoriya vs Todoroki was fantastic. I don’t like tournament arcs in stories and one on one fights don’t usually excite me when they are a match rather than a fight, but this was just fantastically emotional and so exciting to watch. A perfect visual spectacle and character moment in one. Great choice.
