The 30 Day Anime Challenge Day 15 – My Favorite Animal Sidekick, Pet or Summon in Anime

It’d Help if I Were a Bigger Magical Girl Fan

Still! I will do my best with this entry. Before that though, here’s a quick look at the posting schedule for these challenge posts. Today is the half-way point and I am faced yet again with another difficult entry because I don’t watch a ton of shows that have these in them. So what did I settle on in the end? Read on to find out!

Yeah, I’m just going to cheat on this one. Avatar:  The Last Airbender is a great series and I’m going to pull from it for this one. Appa is pretty great! Momo is alright too, but I like Appa better. Not much of a pet person personally, so I wouldn’t actually want a sky bison but the concept is very interesting to me.

While I’m on the topic, I like that Avatar’s animals are usually combinations of two wildly different animals. They came up with a ton of really interesting ones. It’s part of what makes the world feel so unique and alive. Since they reference things that actually exist, it’s easy to imagine that this is what these animals would probably look like if they were in our world.

A short one today but didn’t have much to say here. I hope you still enjoyed this mini idea any way though. Tomorrow is day 16 of the 30 day challenge where I’ll be talking about “the anime with the best animation.” Wow, that’s going to be a hot topic!
