Have you ever wanted to try a board game before you buy it? Want to play a game but don’t have any friends near by to play? Well look no further! Today I wanted to tell you guys about Board Game Arena.
What Is It?
Board Game Arena is a website where you can play a variety of board games absolutely free with friends or strangers.
What’s The Catch?
There isn’t one! That’s the beauty of it.
Is It Legal?
Yes, it’s 100% legal. The site has either licensed or received explicit consent to put any games on their site. However, this means that games can be removed without warning or explanation at any time.
How Does It Work?
It’s pretty simple, make an account, pick one of (currently) 83 games, and start playing. That’s it! If you don’t know the rules, don’t worry, the site has links to the rules on their website for all games. Once you’ve done that you can find games that are run in real time or “play by email.” This makes the website perfect for anybody looking for a free and legal place to play board games online.
My Thoughts
I am a big fan of this website. It has allowed me to try games before I buy them, play games with friends and family members who live far away, and is not only free, but legal.

Very interesting- I’ve never seen a website quite like this before, and being able to try out a game before playing it is invaluable. I’ll definitely have to try this out soon!
